AT&T vs. Xfinity: Installation
AT&T and Xfinity offer professional installation and self-installation options, depending upon the customer’s needs. If a property’s previous tenant had internet from AT&T or Xfinity, self-installation will suffice, and the customer is sent a kit with plug-and-play equipment that is up and running in less than an hour.
If a property has never been equipped with infrastructure from the provider, however, professional installation is often necessary. The installer will come and connect the house to the nearest network node, and set up the inside equipment as well.
